Beautiful spacious property, perfect location

First time staying at An Cala. The view from the front window was beautiful. With having three granddaughters with us, there was plenty of space for everyone.

An exceptionally clean and very well equipped property. Ideally situated for extensive touring of the area or alternatively, just enjoying the exceptional views from the property. Glorious sunsets. Beautiful garden an added bonus. Highly recommended.

Excellent cottage with a to die for view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at An Cala. It has everything that you could want from a cottage and, on top of that, it has the most amazing view out onto the sea and boats. You'll particularly love the sunsets, and its handiness as a base to explore the surrounding attractions, such as Dunollie Castle, Ganavan Sands, and Arduaine Garden.

Superb location and great views

We had an excellent week at An Cala, the location is truly superb with wonderful views over the water. You are also a few steps away from the bus stops if required and a very short walk to the Oyster Inn. We didn't have any issues with road noise, as all bedrooms are to the rear of the house. The house was very clean and we received a check up text after arrival to make sure everything was okay, which it was. We felt the property could use an upgrade here and there, and a couple of things weren't working such as the extract hood for the cooker but on the whole, there were no major issues that impacted the enjoyment of our stay. We would definitely recommend a stay at the An Cala.

A charming and well maintained home with everything you needed! Amazing gardens and stunning views from the front room. Everyone had a great time! Only comment for improvement is bigger beds than a double. My wife and I are used to sleeping on something a little bigger.

A week at Al Cana

Our week at Al Cana is best described as home from home. We had a really enjoyable stay,the view to the front is truly spectacular and we were treated to some really glorious sunsets. The Falls of Lara are a great example of the power of sea and tide, well worth the short walk to watch. Would you stay here again ... Definitely.

A great cottage with a fantastic view!

A lovely dog friendly cottage, with a fantastic view! The garden was big enough for the dog to run about in, to wear him out before bed time. The size was great for the 4 of us and the dog, we had enough space and privacy. The location was very good next to the Loch, though the road was quite busy, but the bedrooms are at the back so you hardly hear it at night. Nice to have blackout blinds in bedroom too. Only criticism would be lack of large pans for pasta.

Information in books needs updating eg. Bin calendars in book and on kitchen above bin are for 2023 as previous occupants did not put bins out and both bins were full. Bbq rusty and not fit for purpose should be removed. When stripping downstairs bed when stripping bed before leaving the sheet which was folded under mattress was still damp. Otherwise house perfect stunning location and certainly hope to return again.

This is a comfortable house in a stunning location with a private sheltered garden. The living room faces the Loch, so has wonderful views. The owners were very helpful and responded quickly when we couldn't get the coffee machine to work. It would have benefited from a more modern and smart television, but otherwise we were very comfortable.

Our first time visiting Scotland and the house was first class. Wonderful location with the most amazing views from the living room window. Great garden for our dog fully enclosed and safe. Lovely decor and very comfortable beds, spotless clean, the conservatory overlooking the garden a great place to eat our meals and nice to sit in when it rained. 10 minute drive to Oban.

Second time staying at An Cala. Dog friendly property necessary for us. Amazing location with otters and seals on each tide. Walk out the back over the cattle grid and you're in the middle of nowhere. 21 seals the most we had in one day. Good wifi, great garden, peaceful and stunning location.

Extremely well equipped. Providing dishwasher tablets and washing tablets. The garden was secure enough for our terrier though I stayed out with her. Beds comfy and showers had enough pressure and were hot. Sofas less comfy. Couldn't stop staring at the view from the living room window.

Location is good; on a busy road but not really a problem. Gateway can be a bit tight. Well thought out house with lots of things to make it very comfortable - underfloor heating, blackout blinds, good quality beds, fabulous views.

Wonderful stay. Cottage faultless - very clean, warm, spacious, views to die for, safe enclosed rear garden and ample parking. Kitchen really well equipped, books of local walks and board games. Saw otters and seals from armchairs.

Loved this cottage - the sunset at the front was beautiful each night and the location was between places we wanted to go to eg ferry to Mull and Glen Nevis, Fort William etc.

Really well located property for exploring Oban, surrounding areas and the Islands. Really well equipped, literally a home from home. Beautiful enclosed garden to the rear which is a suntrap. Recommend West Coast Cottages.

Deceptively large inside. Great views, good size garden and conservatory for breakfast. House on main road leading to Oban but traffic noise not an issue due to double glazing. Gate added to back now.

Pleased with our choice of self catering property. Very well equipped, comfortable and warm. Easy to access and communication with the Agent was excellent. Temperature in downstairs shower inconsistent; lack of outdoor seating.
